Last Day of Session Fee Special

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Today is the last day of my session fee special.

To be eligible for the special price all inquiry emails must arrive in my inbox before midnight tonight.

Its school holidays and like always life is very busy and chaotic, but fun all the same here.

Hope all the other families who are having holidays are enjoying themselves too.

A few from a few different recent sessions:

Newborn photography is a favorite of mine

With newborns I am often asked which is the best age to photograph at, I think that 2 weeks old is the ideal age for newborn photography. At this age they still curl easily, sleep easily and have that adorable little newborn look.

If you miss the newborn age for photographs then thats OK too.

This little darling was photographed at 3 months old. The images are quite different to those of the newborn but still a sweet age to capture.

My GREEN link: CERES

CERES is a community Environment Park in Brunswick, Melbourne. Worth a day trip with the kids, lots to explore and lots of great ideas of how to make changes in your own home or garden plus a really yummy organic cafe!

Location, Location, Location!

Friday, March 14th, 2008

As you all know I am an ‘on location’ photographer. By ‘on location’ that means I photograph at your home or at an agreed location of choice. I do not shoot in a studio at all.

People often wonder where is a good location to shoot.

Some people like to travel for the background that they want, others prefer to stay with their own house and backyard.

Some ideas for locations are

- the beach – parks – lakes – industrial areas – paddocks – and much more ofcourse!

I have recently done some shoots at some locations I really love so thought I’d share!

Williamstown.

I love when I get a booking in the Williamstown or surrounding areas! Williamstown has such a variety of backdrops to photograph in. Older style buildings, the wonderful beach, the botanical gardens, the pier, the marina area, boats, sand, wide roads, the list goes on! I’ve always enjoyed my sessions held in the area there, no matter the season!

A recent family photography session at Williamstown:

Another location I would dearly love to do a photo session with a client at is Myuna Farm or any of the childrens farms in melbourne really! Farms have such great texture and backdrops!

I took my son their for a play with a friend recently with camera in tow.

My GREEN link: Earth Hour

Taken from the site :

Created to take a stand against the greatest threat our planet has ever faced, Earth Hour uses the simple action of turning off the lights for one hour to deliver a powerful message about the need for action on global warming.

This simple act has captured the hearts and minds of people all over the world. As a result, at 8pm March 29, 2008 millions of people in some of the world’s major capital cities, including Copenhagen, Toronto, Chicago, Melbourne, Brisbane and Tel Aviv will unite and switch off for Earth Hour.
