FAMILY:
I took the kids on a mini break down the beach. It was good for all of us. It was just myself and the children and one of the kids friends. We had a lovely time, we lit a fire, toasted marshmallows, watched dvds and explored rock pools and the local beaches. I had time to kick back and read a book and the kids had time to run and yell to their hearts content. We came home feeling rejuvenated and a lot more relaxed. It’s a good reminder to take time out and reconnect with yourself and your family.
COMMUNITY:
I live in the city of Greater Dandenong. Now I know some look down their nose at this area (and if you are one of those people shame on you for being so shallow!) but it is where my home is, where my children go to school and will most likely grow up and it is my community. The area actually has a lot of great things about it. Some great public schools, some fabulous parks and play grounds, a large shopping centre, a fabulous market (Dandenong Market), its very culturally diverse, has access to the city and beach or hills is easy from the many main roads and highways coming into the area, The Drum Theatre , it is a large business hub (known as Melbournes 2nd city) and more!
To read more about the area go here
In my 6 years of being in business I have photographed only 2 families in this area. The majority of clients reside in the inner suburbs, some in the western burbs and some in the north. Not many seem to come from my neck of the woods!
So to get to my point!
I will now be offering discounted sessions/packages for clients who reside in the City Of Greater Dandenong. If interested please email for more details through the contact page on my website.
Some images from our trip:
My eldest, aged 9 now, stuns me sometimes how fast they grow and change before our eyes!

Don’t ask… really.

‘Bushy Island’ created by Jaime age 6 years.

The ‘creator’ (she spent over an hour collecting things from the surrounding beach to build her work of art)

technically this sucks. But it doesnt matter, he’s my darling youngest, now aged 4 yrs. He was singing to me as i took this ‘ You are my sunshine, my berry sunshine’

Mother’s day is just around the corner.
For those of you who are unsure of gift ideas have you thought of a gift voucher? Email vouchers can be sent through right up until 5pm Saturday. Phone or email me for more details.
Mother’s day for me brings happiness tinged with a touch of sadness. I love being doted on by my children, adore breakfast in bed (Joey you reading this? I’m thinking an omelette or bacon and eggs would be just lovely!) and look forward to dodgy school mother’s day stall gifts and much appreciated home made gifts.
It does remind me that my own mother is not here though. I miss the Mothers days of going to my mums and sharing a lunch together, sitting round relaxed while the kids run and play. The memories are a wonderful thing to have but some days I wish for the real thing.
I hope this Mothers day brings you all opportunities to create some wonderful memories of your own.
Do any of you remember this gorgeous little sprite?
Well she has grown a bit and has also recently became a BIG sister!
Here she is with her mum and her mum’s mum.

Still bright cheery and colourful as ever!

You can spot the expectant mum in the background

Tummy cuddles

I couldn’t resist adding this. I bent down on the ground to take her photo, so ofcourse being 2 years old, she had to do the same thing.

and not long after this session master H arrived.

I wish this one was a photo of my kids, because I’d like it on my own wall!

and the family
