More mini sharing – Melbourne Teen Portrait Photographer

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I photograph a LOT of pregnancy and newborns. They take up the bulk of my client base for certain. BUT I do actually photograph people of all ages. I had the pleasure of meeting two ‘older’ young girls recently.

We had lots of fun photographing in the areas surrounding the studio.

Hope you girls love your images! I think you are both totally gorgeous!

LOCAL BUSINESS PLUG:-

I am very fortunate to be right across the road from the Red Poppy Bakery

It is a very popular, well known bakery. They have a wonderful array of treats! They do yummy cakes, biscuits, gourmet delights, freshly made rolls and sandwiches and even good ol’ pies and sausage rolls (and tasty ones too, think vindaloo, curry, pepper, asparagus and more!) and I hear soon they will be doing a gluten free range. Well worth a pop across the road too (which I do often!).

I will be running some more mini sessions during either June/July (date not yet set) please email to register your interest.

LOCAL BUSINESS PLUG:-

Well I’ve deliberated over how to go about listing the cafes in my little strip of shops. It is difficult deciding who to list first so instead I am listing them all in one post together- alphabetically!

BREW BAR – 103 Poath Rd, Murrumbeena, 3163 ph: (03) 9568 3226

Evan and Pete (gosh I hope I have names right!) at Brew run a wonderful little place. Its so cosy and welcoming and regularly busy! The food is fabulous, I can highly recommend the ‘club chicken sandwich’ but really all their food is fabulous, top quality.

BROWN BEANS CAFE – 13 Willesden Rd, Hughesdale, VIC 3166  ph:(03) 9563 1368

Arthur and Lauren at brown beans are a husband and wife team who run this new little cafe. The place is inviting, the service very friendly and the food is great. they also are the only cafe in the 3 offering fair trade organic coffee. I’ve had the quiche/frittata with salad a few times now and can definitely recommend it.

TURTLE BEAN CAFE – 97 Poath Rd, Murrumbeena 3163, ph: (03) 9568 1333

Jenna runs the Turtle bean cafe with Rob helping out. Both are very friendly and welcoming. Its spacious, with a good sized courtyard and a little toy box for kids inside. The food is great, I enjoyed the eye fillet steak with mash the other day and can highly recommend. Another bonus here is they have free wifi access.

another mini session share – Melbourne family portrait photographer

another mini session share!

this family was a retunr client. The mini session was aperfect way to get some more family images without the fuss of a longer full session.

In other news…

Did I announce that payments can now be made by credit card? I accept both Visa and mastercard as well as eftpos payments to make things easier for everyone.

AND

I should have some updated studio photos soon! AND I should be moving in soon…. if all goes to plan…

LOCAL BUSINESS PLUG:-

please visit – Miss Kitty’s Costumes

Miss Kitty’s Costume store is directly NEXT DOOR to my new studio and I couldn’t ask for better neighbours!

Amy who runs the business and Bree who works there are both young, vibrant, fun and funky… exactly what a costume shop needs! There is a constant stream of vistors to Miss Kitty’s very popular dress up shop!  When most people think costume shops they imagine dark, dingy, and OLD, not the case here, this place is bright, the costumes up to date and such a HUGE variety.

Well worth a visit. (and bookmark it for future use)

You can find Miss Kitty’s Costumes at

77-79 Poath Rd, Murrumbeena, 3163

Thank you to all who booked recently and took part in the mini session days to raise funds for the acocp

The 2 days were a great success and I will be sharing some of the sessions over the coming week. First up is ‘J’ and her gorgeous family. ‘J’ has 4 gorgeous girls, each with their own little personalities. I had such trouble whittling these down to a few to share, there are so many from this session I just loved!

Here are a few…

(all these images were shot in the surrounds of my new studio also, its a GREAT place for photographs!)

I wanted to post a variety of images to show you all what great variety we can capture at a mini session and for those who wish to have a session with Susan, the wonderful location and surrounds the studio has.

All this week I will be sharing from the mini sessions and also promoting local businesses in the vicinty of my Studio.
